BILLO agai Hay !! Strepsils Stereo Rocking the Wedding Season

A brand new exciting song from season 2 of Strepsils Stereo introduces us to a vibrant and fun-filled dance number, ‘Billo’! Its upbeat and dance-y vibe, with a perfect blend of the richness of Punjabi folk culture and a flavor of Pop created through Acappella, are surely going to make it the ‘Mehndi Song of the Year’.
Strepsils Stereo is Pakistan’s first and only Acappella music platform which creates music without any instruments using the sound from voice, mouth, and claps. The song ‘Billo’ is produced by Ali Noor and Ahsan Pervez, the masterminds behind producing this acapella-driven music platform.
Excited about this new song, Ali Noor stated, “This was one of the most challenging songs that have been produced to date on the Strepsils Stereo platform because of the complexity of beats as there are in a Punjabi folk mix. But, Ahsan Pervez and Mehak Ali have done a phenomenal job through their voice. This will surely be topping all mehndi playlists this wedding season.”
The character ‘Billo’ is a light-hearted take on our socially constructed rules about how girls at weddings are expected to act. The song promotes empowerment and highlights that weddings should be enjoyed by everyone in the family, including the bride herself, without the fear of being judged by those around.
Talking about this new venture of Strepsils Stereo, Humayun Farooq, Director Marketing – RB Health, said “This is an upbeat and fun song, where we are also trying to send a positive social message across through the video. Strepsils Stereo is an owned Acappella platform of Reckitt Benckiser (RB) Pakistan’s throat lozenges brand, Strepsils. The platform for its unique idea and brand relevance has won the prestigious Spike Asia award early this year along with the PAS Awards 2017 last year. It has released four songs to date including ‘Khayal Rakhna’, ‘Rang De’, ‘Dil Jo Chahay’ and ‘Mera Pakistan’ with a total of 13.2 million views.

RB Launches a Hygiene Oriented Campaign

RB is a company with a history of over 150 years, operating in nearly 200 countries of the world. It is a manufacturer and marketer of branded products relating to health, hygiene and home. In 2015 it was ranked number 4 on Newsweek’s ranking of Top 10 Green Companies of the World, ranked on corporate sustainability and environmental impact.


In Pakistan RB started its operations in the late 1950’s and for 3 generations of Pakistanis many ofRB’s brands have been trusted household names, for their quality and efficacy. These brands include Dettol, Harpic, Mortein, Strepsils and Veet.

Even today, there are 25 million people who do not have access to proper toilets. Almost half of the households do not have a facility to wash their hands with soap and water. These unhygienic conditions promote unhealthiness giving rise to diseases like diarrhea.

Reckitt Benckiser (RB) and a private TV channel announced their partnership for “Hoga Saaf Pakistan” a pledge for a healthier, cleaner Pakistan. The announcement was shared on the big stage at the Lahore Expo Centre where Shahzeb Mahmood, the CEO of Reckitt Benckiser, mentioned the dire need of coming together as a nation and improving the unclean and unhygienic conditions that give birth to diseases such as diarrhea.

RB has pledged for ‘Hoga Saaf Pakistan’ so that preventable diseases like diarrhea do not claim any more lives. This is a cause very close to our hearts. It is very easy to point fingers as to whose fault this is, but being privileged enough, it is our responsibility to initiate this change and work towards a Saaf Pakistan. Zong Launches 4G Awareness Program in all Provinces

Zong 4G, Pakistan’s No.1 data network, embarked on a journey across Pakistan, in all provinces, to spread 4G Internet awareness throughout the country. In a nationwide activity undertaken simultaneously in several locations, Zong’s “New Hope” volunteers delivered sessions in Schools, Colleges and Universities covering students of different age brackets. The activity cuts across multiple socio-economic segments as well, covering on one hand some of the most prestigious Universities of Pakistan such as Hamdard and Balochistan Universities, whilst reaching out to charity schools for underprivileged students such as Mashal on the other.


The need of this activity is rooted in Zong’s desire to revolutionize the digital landscape of Pakistan which Zong expresses through its Brand promise of “A New Dream”. The activity was in part a contribution towards development of the 4G ecosystem in Pakistan that has the potential to radically transform Pakistan’s global outlook and economic progression.

The content of these sessions included a futuristic outlook of the technological vision of Zong’s parent company, China Mobile. It covered the smart solutions based on M2M and IoT technologies that are currently being facilitated through 4G technology. It also elaborated upon the areas where 4G will help and empower the youth of Pakistan in terms of job creation, new business startups, ease & access to information in the global marketplace, connectivity to online learning platforms and telemedicine facilities for far flung areas. Additionally, it laid out how 4G technology will be pivotal in improving the overall Law & Order situation of the country and significantly impact the functioning of governmental bodies and their interaction with the public. It further shed light on how 4G can help take Pakistani products more available at the international markets through e commerce and bring in revenue for the country, especially for far flung areas where local trade may be difficult due to inaccessible physical terrain.

In a recent report published by the ITU, Pakistan has one of the lowest internet penetration in the world. These sessions conducted by Zong’s volunteers will go a long way in spreading awareness for the need and utility of high speed 4G internet in the country.

Zong, with its 75% 4G market share, currently dominates the mobile internet market and is at the forefront of leading the digital revolution in Pakistan. This is also substantiated by the fact that Zong has already upgraded more than 80% of its network to 4G and has pledged to take that number to 100% by the end of this year through additional investment of more than USD 200 Million.
